The Euler International Mathematical Institute jointly with Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of RAS are organizing the fourth Geometry Meeting dedicated to the centenary of A.D.Alexandrov. The Euler International Mathematical Institute is a part of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute. The Meeting is to be held at the Euler International Mathematical Institute and the Steklov Institute (St.Petersburg, Russia), August 20-24, 2012. The arrival and departure days are August 19 and August 25, respectively. A.D. Alexandrov is one of the greatest geometers of the 20th century, founder of the famous scientific school. Besides, his works in PDE are generally recognized. A.D.Alexandrov is well known as physics, teacher, philosopher, and mountaineer.
