2018's International Symposium on the Reactivity of Solids, ISRS, continues a long series of international meetings which started in 1948 in Paris. Since that time, the ISRS took place every three to four years, alternating locations between Europe, USA, Asia and Russia. ISRS-19 will take place for the first time in Bayreuth on July 15 - July 18 2018. The symposium will cover all areas related to the reactivity of both organic and inorganic solids, focusing on mechanisms and kinetics of topotactic, mechanochemical and photochemical reactions including all aspects of materials design as well as new horizons of materials applications. A special focus of ISRS-19 will be devoted to reactivity of layered materials and topotactic reactions.
