The 5th China-Japan Academic Symposium on Nuclear Fuel Cycle was held in HarЬin Engineering University Intemational Conference Exchange Centre, HarЬin, China, July 24-27, 2019. Financial support for this conference was provided Ьу К.С. Wong Education Foundation, Hong Kong. The organizers of this conference Harbin Engineering University, Laborator)' for Advanced Nuclear Energy, Tokyo lnstitute of Technology and Guangxi University. The participants originated from Japan, Russia, Korea, China and the United States. An intemational, profound and widely covered exchange platform was estaЫished Ьу this conference, aimed to provide а platform for the scientists to discuss their academic achievements and exchange scientific information related to • nuclear fuel cycle. There are 6 plenary lectures, 19 keynote lectures and 31 general presentations and -3 posters in the conference, and this proceedings volume contains 107 abstracts presented during this conference. These papers cover а diverse range of topics in uclear fuel cycle, including basic chemistry of actinides and fission products, nuclear nd radiochemistry related to nuclear fuel cycle, advanced reprocessing and eparation technologies, separation chemistry of 4f/5f elements, separation and ransmutation of fission products on resourceability, decommissioning of nuclear acilities and radioactive wastes disposal, deuterium tritium fuel cycle of fusion reactors and so on
