  IUIS is an umbrella organization for regional and national societies of immunology throughout the world. We believe that major human diseases can only be eradicated through international collaboration and exchange of information. IUIS enables collaboration on a grand scale by federating the forces of tens of thousands of immunologists from 82 different countries. There are currently 77 Member Societies of IUIS, which belong to one of four Regional Federations encompassing Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Oceania or are direct members such as US and Canada. Links with other international scientific bodies are promoted through the International Affiliate Members of IUIS, membership of the International Council for Science (ICSU) and formal liaison with the world Health Organization. Apart from the International Congress of Immunology IUIS organizes numerous meetings, conferences and courses every. It conducts database as well as research development and informs its members regularly through its own journal and a vast range of digital communication channels. Industry corporations can become a Corporate Partner of the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS).
