Dear participants, partners and guests! It is my pleasure to greet you at the KazTEA & ATENK Forum 2022 ‘‘Transition from Online to F2F Education: Bringing Distance Learning Strategies to the Classroom’’. The KazTEA Forum as the Supreme Body of the Association is targeted at modifying and extending the scope of services and activities of local chapters and their representatives across the country to meet the challenges of post-COVID-19 situation, provide support of EFL and STEAM teachers and widen their opportunities in professional growth in terms of online, blended teaching / learning, application of ICT and mobile apps in TEFL, cognitive learning, innovative thinking skills, as well as practices of community service and service learning.. The 18th KazTEA Forum is a special one. The Association of Teachers of English of the Northern Kazakhstan “ATENK” is a recently established association and hosting the KazTEA Forum for the 1st time. But within a short period the members of the association have arranged a number of remarkable events that meet the interests of local teachers and reveal their best practices such as ATENK Conferences 2020 and 2021, Best Lesson Plan and English Song Contest. Thanks to these events the association has extended itRfs membership, which will be shared by Albina Kassenova – ATENK President. The KazTEA & ATENK Forum 2022 raises the challenges of new “normal” within teaching/learning in local settings and opportunities in terms of availability of multimedia formats and their technical and financial limitations in local contexts to meet various students’ learning styles and preference., The Forum is supposed to discuss common TEFL approaches as well as new ones as flipped classroom, gamification, strategies of integrating MOOCs, issues of inclusive education. This is the mile stone for us to share the best practices to assist our learners to gain competences that will be in demand in the future world.
