DiGRA 2022 is the first conference of the Digital Games Research Association to be held in a hybrid form (both in-person and online) since the outbreak of Covid-19. It is also the first game studies event of this magnitude to be held in Central Europe. The conference has been moved from the original location in Guadalajara, Mexico, in the spirit of its topic: “Bringing Worlds Together.” The Kraków team expresses gratitude to their Mexican predecessors: we hope that through combined efforts across two hemispheres as well as a mixture of live and virtual interaction we will indeed bridge academic worlds torn apart by global events in recent years.
