  The goal is to illustrate interaction of experimental electrochemistry and electrochemical material science with theoretical and computational approaches to complex condensed matter systems and their fragments (currently operating or future electrode materials, electrolytes and charged interfaces). The phenomena addressed in the lectures are ionic transport as related to the structure of crystalline, nanocrystalline and amorphous solids, coupled electronic and ionic transport in solids, computational approached to describe the electronic structure of electrode materials and interfaces,kinetics of charge transfer at electrified interfaces.
