The aim of this investigation is development of a new aerobic-anaerobic bioremediation technology for oil polluted impassable bogs in the North of Western Siberia, as traditional remediation technologies are not technically possible and economically unfavorable there. Laboratory experiment was performed on five models (height 100cm of each) filled with a layer of peat polluted with oil. Two different acceptors of electrons (gaseous and liquid) and the bacterial oil-oxidizing preparation Rhoder and fertilizers were used. One model was used as a negative control. Other models were experimental. The content of oil in the peat in the models was from 370 g/kg to 550g/kg of absolutely dry matter (DM). The experiment lasted for 3 months. Obtained results showed that the most perspective combination was the combination containing the Rhoder, which was watering on the surface of peat polluted with oil, with fertilizer and injection of the liquid acceptor of electrons into the middle part of the model. In that case the content of oil products in the top layer of peat in the model lowered by 99%, in the middle part of the model by 64% and in the bottom layer of the peat by 45%.
