In the brain of two trypanarynchean cestodes unique neurons have been found with myelin-wrapped axons. Neurons contain huge number neurotubules and send their axons in the X-shape crisscross commissure. Axons are wrapped by an electron-dense material along of full length in the commissure. This electron-dense material lack specific structure and located in the unknown cell processes. Both species contain this kind of neurons in the center of the compound brain with 9 lobes and 9 neuropiles wrapped by glia-like cells. It seems they have command function in scolex movement.
