Phase equilibria in the Au-Pd-Sn (< 50 at.% Sn) and Cu-Pd-Sn (< 35 at.% Sn) were investigated at 500 and 800ºС using XRD, metallography, DTA and EPMA. A new ternary phase $\tau_1$ having (Pd,(Au/Cu))5Sn composition was found in both systems under investigation. Its structure was described by body-centered tetragonal lattice. Some regularities in the solubility of third component in the NiAs like phases were noted. The γ-Pd2Sn phase with filled NiAs structure creates continuous homogeneity range both with isostructural phase Cu55Sn45 and with phase AuSn having undistorted NiAs structure.
