The media is referred to as the Forth Estate as it has an instrumental role in framing political issues. Zaller says that politicians take part “in the public game of “media politics” which includes three principle actors – politicians, journalists, and citizens” [Zaller, 1999: 2]. The world public opinion is distant from the political system, and the media becomes a mediator between people and politicians [Sheigal, 2004: 41]. However, the media shapes public opinion through biased evaluations and deliberately creates positive or negative images and stereotypes. Defining a degree of bias in mass media has been actively discussed in media discourse studies. There are serious discrepancies in TV media regarding Donald Trump’s image. The channels CNN, Fox News and RT give different evaluations of his recent activities including building of the wall at the border with Mexico, the shutdown of the government, meeting with chief intelligence officers, the State of the Union Address.
