After the collapse of the USSR (1991) the production of electronic products in Russia decreased, and imports of foreign electronics grew up. Since the beginning of the 2000s, attempts were made to determine an optimal way for development of the domestic electronic industry, and concentration of the financial efforts on the key areas of this development. Enterprises of the electronic industry are also currently engaged in the diversification processes - an increase of the share of civilian electronics products in the production.
