The article is devoted to modeling changes in the thermohaline structure of the Blue Bay waters near Gelendzhik (Krasnodar Region, Russian Federation). This change occurred as a result of a catastrophic flood on July 6-7, 2012 on the Ashamba River, which flows into the Blue Bay. Short-term hazardous meteorological phenomena belong to poorly studied natural processes due to its rarity, short duration and dangerous weather events for information collection. A detailed analysis of the information obtained by the authors of the work during the catastrophic flood on July 6-7, 2012 in the Blue Bay near Gelendzhik, provided more detailed information on the effect of extremely intense precipitation on small water areas and the time scale of the consequences of such phenomena.
