Analysis of the combined 18S and 28S rRNA genes places Gastrotricha, Orthonectida and Dicyemida within Spiralia. Both Gastrotricha and Dicyemida cluster with Plathelminthes, whereas Orthonectida, under the absence of Dicyemida in analyses, group with Annelida.
