The main aim of this work is to overview the number of the valid scolopendromorph genera and subgenera and to propose a corresponding identification key. The study has been carried out based on literature data and the scolopendromorph collection of Zoological Museum of Moscow Lomonosov State University. As a result, the number of the extant scolopendromorph genera has decreased from 34 to 27. The confirmed position of genus Tonkinodentus within the ocellate Scolopendridae does not question the monophyly of blind-clade in traditional sense, but could testify the multiple origin of blindness in Scolopendromorpha. The main part of sexually dimorphic genera (ФИГ. 9b) are contained in subfamily Otostigminae, not in Scolopendrinae which sems to be more progressive morphologically. The presence of the well-developed sexual dimorphism is characteristic for the sighted scolopendromorphs only, so the direct correlation between presence of eyes and presence of sexual dimorphism seems to be exist. Nine morphological key characters have been re-evaluated. Six of them were decreased in taxonomic weight, one increased and two remained unchanged. This fact seemingly speaks about integration trend at the generic level of the recent system of this order.
