Аннотация доклада:
The issues related to caustic in, generally speaking, asymmetrical spaces are discussed. The problem of Mach disks (or rhombuses, or diamonds) is investigated. The official version of the origin of these disks is criticized and a competing new model based on the caustic reflection from the boundary of the environments is built. The reasoning is illustrated by both real and mathematical model pictures.
