One of the essential areas in materials science for medicine is the personalized scaffolds for injured bone tissue regeneration. Ideally, such implants should have a controlled resorption rate for various clinical cases and specific patient. The ideal implant should repeat not only the form of the defect but also be a well-permeable material with a tailored pore orientation. One can utilize the additive technologies to produce tailored shaped scaffolds from a computer tomography data of the patient. The scaffold should provide all necessary components for its environment to have better progress in the new bone formation. This talk will cover approaches for scaffold design and additive manufacturing of personalized bioceramics for bone tissue regeneration.
