Аннотация доклада:
The presentation deals with the genealogy of St Rúadán as it is presented in medieval Irish sources. Two different strains of genealogy are analyzed: one connects the saint with the Munster royal house of Eóganachta, other states that he was a member of the obscure Dubraige tribe. On the basis of comparison between St Rúadán's genealogy and other Irish genealogical material, we offer a hypothesis that may throw some light on the famous "cursing of Tara" episode in the Lives of Rúadán.
