At the present stage of methodology development in the sphere of teaching foreign languages, considering constant changes taking place in the modern world, one of the key issues of linguodidactics is the problem of improving teaching methods and techniques. Currently, strategic partnership relations between Russia and China are developing rapidly in many fields, including economics, politics, socio-cultural activities and so on. Therefore, there is a demand for specialists who have a mastery in Russian. In China, there exist established traditions of teaching Russian and English, but in recent years, due to globalization and transformations in many economic, political and social spheres, it has become obvious that traditional methods do not always keep pace with modern requirements for the students' communicative competence formation. The relevance of the present study consists in consideration of the brand new methods in teaching Russian and English in China offered by leading Chinese and Russian experts. In addition, the issue of possible problems in learning process caused by interference in both linguistic and cultural terms is raised. The author analyzes typical difficulties of the Chinese students that arise while mastering Russian and English and also looks at further prospects for the development of teaching methods, taking into account recent drastic changes in the world. The study is based on a comparative analysis of teaching methods and techniques.
