Translation is an essential and necessary aspect of acquisition of command of a foreign language. To do it properly, it is necessary to understand lexical and grammatical peculiarities of the source and target languages and discrepancy in distribution of various components of meaning in them. It is impossible to translate word by word as it can cause losses of information which should be compensated by other lexical and grammatical means. Besides using different sets of semantic components (constituents of meaning) to describe identical extralinguistic situations, one language can describe it more or less explicitly than the other as the degree of detailing in languages also differs. The fact that Tagalog is one of agglutinative languages while Russian is an inflectional one makes translation even more complicated
