Over the past decades, the field of organic bioelectronics has attracted more and more attention due to the possibility of manufacturing devices capable of capturing viruses, bacteria and pathogens in biological systems. Functionalization of the semiconductor layer of electrolyte-gated field-effect transistors is one of the approaches for creating biosensing devices. Azide-alkyne click-reaction catalyzed by Cu (I) is one of the attractive methods for semiconductor biomodification. This method offers the creation of the diverse surface of the biorecognition layer suitable for location of a big number of sites on the bio-EGOFET for further biomodification by linkers for different analytes. Here we present the method of biorecognition layer creation based on click-chemistry directly on the EGOFET surface.
