Porphyry and Au-Ag occurrences mineralization is widespread in the peninsulas of Koni and Pyagin. The Schkhiper area (the Sulfidny and the Khrustalny occurrences) is located between the peninsulas and has sulfide veinlets and disseminated sulfide minerals hosted in altered volcanic, igneous and terrigenous-volcanogenic rocks. Here we describe the results of geological work in 2020-2022. Igneous rocks, alterations and ore minerals identified by petrography, ore microscopy, XRD and SEM are briefly described. Results show that the ore-forming process can be divided into pre-ore (distal propylitic and superimposed phyllic alterations) stage and ore stage. Based on the mineralogical composition of the ore and the major metasomatic and igneous rocks and the geological setting, the occurrences of the Schkhyper area can be considered as related to a porphyry system.
