The study deals with the problematic issues related to the safe development of modern digital-technological AI systems and their protection from the ecological (digital-algorithmic) pollution. The special importance of ecologically clean development and growth of AI is emphasized. The necessity of formation of a new scientific interdisciplinary direction - AI ecology - is substantiated. It is noted that the security of the future of all mankind will depend on the efficiency of prevention and quality of prevention of ecological pollution of the digital sphere surrounding us.
