Аннотация доклада:
We have developed time-, spin-, and angle-resolved spectroscopy to monitor for the first time the dynamical response of the spin polarization of photoexcited topological surface states (TSSs) to circularly polarized ultrafast pulses of 150 fs duration. By reversing the light helicity, we achieve full control of the transient out-of-plane spin polarization of TSSs, which relaxes in about 1.2 ps.
