The high-temperature fracture of aluminum specimens with cylindrical or rectangular cross-section is examined experimentally under high-temperature creep conditions. The strain lo-calization is considered for different initial stretching stresses. The relative duration time of the specimen deformed uniformly is defined. It is shown that the evolution of strain localiza-tion in the specimen takes a considerable part (up to 40%) of lifetime.
