Embodiments of the present application provide a data processing method and a device. The method includes: obtaining input data of a first layer, where the first layer belongs to the neural network; performing matrix multiplications on patches of the input data with weight matrices to generate output data of the first layer. The above technical solution can improve computational efficiency of a neural network by using AI acceleration devices that are good at tensor and matrix multiplications.
