The aim of this study was to investigate the change in the parameters of the sympathetic innervation of the heart and blood vessels after myocardial infarction. We performed histochemical evaluation of the density of sympathetic innervation and immunohistochemical staining of various adrenoreceptors density in interventicular septum, tail artery, renal artery, femoral artery and mesentery. We conclude that increased activity of the sympathetic nervous system in the post-infarction period reflected at the level of the nerve endings and adrenoreceptors, and the peptide drug, which limits this activation, exerted heterogeneous influence at the heart and arteries levels.
