Аннотация:Abstract — Materials from electrometric observations along deep magnetotelluric, frequency dipole-dipole, and vertical electrical sounding profiles were analyzed in directions both transverse to the orientation of the main geological structures and, in some cases, along their trends. The consistency of the data obtained by various electrometric methods and used to determine the electrical resistivity was assessed. A set of electrometric methods was applied to identify inclined layers of variable thickness and conductivity in the crust. Tectonic and
seismicity observations were involved in their interpretation. The configuration of layers with contrasting resistivity is often consistent with the geological layered structures in the Tajik trough and with the spatial distribution of seismicity. The qualitative geoelectrical model of the crust in the Garm area was constructed. It is noted that the hypocenters of the two strong earthquakes of 1934 and 1941, with M = 6.5, are located in regions with extremely low resistivities. This offers an additional opportunity to monitor sites of increased seismic risk.
