Аннотация:After the extreme flood of 2013, the composition of bottom sediments and floodplain silts of the Amur River from the Songhua estuary as far as Khabarovsk was studied. The composition, the degree of being graded and the size of the dominant fraction of tractional and suspended sediment load of the Amur have been recognized to correspond to the hydrological conditions of the study area. It is shown that the floodplain silts of the 2013 extreme flood and the floodplain silts of the periods related to the low water level on the Amur, given the essentially different thickness, are characterized by close particle-size distribution, bulk and mineralogical composition. The maintenance of close composition of silt deposits is attributed to the transport of their fine fractions in the relatively stable microaggregates
