Аннотация:One of the latest finding in the auroral plasma physics is the solution of the problem of the most part of quite time auroral oval mapping to the surrounding the Earth plasma ring at geocentric distances from ~6Re till magnetopause near noon and till ~12Re near to midnight in contrast to ordinary postulated auroral oval mapping to the plasma sheet. This result was obtained without using any magnetic field model in the suggestion of the validity of the condition of the magnetostatic equilibrium using plasma pressure as a natural marker of the magnetic field line. Obtained mapping explains the ring like form of the auroral oval known from the first results of systematic auroral observations. We show that transverse currents in the ring constitute the high latitude continuation of the ordinary ring current. Location of the sources of the auroral precipitations inside the surrounding the Earth plasma ring requires the explanation of the nature of large and middle scale field-aligned currents, inverted V structures and thin auroral forms analyzing dynamics of the high latitude part of the ring current. We discuss the results of the theoretical analysis including the nonlinear modeling of the magnetic field distortion by plasma pressure with finite value of plasma parameter. We show that theory development provides the solution of the formulated problems.
