Аннотация:To extend the capabilities of shock-wave experiments to larger deformations, a technique of measurements at cylindrical shock loading of ceramic tube samples has been developed. In experiments, the shock loading of AD998 tubes by cylindrical detonation initiated with electrical explosion of a wire was realized. VISAR measurements of the velocity profiles have been carried out with water windows. Lagrangian 1-D computer code for simulations of the shock-wave processes with axial symmetry has been used for interpretation of experimental data. A phenomenological model of the dynamic response of brittle materials has been developed. The strain range available for analysis has been extended by a factor of 2 or 3 due to the divergent character of flow.
