Аннотация:Morphology, physical properties, mineral inclusions and interner structure of the diamonds (700 samples) from the V. Grib pipe (Arkhangelsk province, Russia) have been examined. Inclusions (15 samples) in diamonds have been examined with the following methodes: X-ray computer microtomography (XCMT), Raman spectroscopy, Secondary X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (SXFS) and micro-beam analyses.
We have two types of inclusions: the primary and the secondary ones. The primary inclusions are high chromium chromite (>62%Cr2O3) and monosulphide solid solution on the base of pentlandite. The secondary inclusions are mica, millerite and saponite. In addition, there are a lot of garnet-pyroxene-flogopite aggregates and ilmenite-bearing mineral assosiations among the xenolites in this pipe. Thus, we can conclude, that the sulphide melts and methasomatic fluid have a largh role in diamond formation.
