- Аннотация: 1. It is established that the formation of soil on the high terraces of Cna began 1,200 years ago (9th century), which corresponds to the presence of global humid episode at the beginning of historical time. 2. Soil formation epoch synchronous to stages of settlement in Cna river landscapes. Identified on the results of isotopic analysis it is observed that the climatic episodes boundaries clearly coincide with the change of historical cultures: populated of river valley corresponds to dry periods, and the rise of the groundwater level interrupts the development of settlements. 3. According to the results of isotopic analysis of soil humus and radiocarbon age it is revealed that the closest to the modern climatic period in this region was the Atlantic period of Holocene, rather than the medieval climate optimum, as previously thought.
