Аннотация:Transformation of allyl radicals into alkyl radicals similar to CH2-CH2-CH-CH=CH-CH2 similar to --> similar to CH2-CH-CH3 + CH2=CH-CH=CH-CH2 similar to in polyethylene samples of various crystallinities upon photolysis by 365-nm light at 77 K was studied. It was found that the efficiency of this photochemical reaction depends on the crystallinity of the sample and the presence of molecular hydrogen produced in the sample upon generation of allyl radicals. The quantum yield of the reaction was determined. The probability of photocombination of radicals in a sample containing H-2 and the average distance of migration of the unpaired electron during the reaction were estimated.
