Аннотация:A hypothesis was proposed to explain the formation and development of stable aggregate structures in soils. The hypothesis is based on the amphiphilic properties of soil organic matter, whose hydrophilic components form bonds with mineral particles and whose hydrophobic components are bound with one another to generate water-stable organomineral aggregates in a water environment. Hydrophobic structuring components are formed in anaerobic conditions developed within soil aggregates.
