- Аннотация: The propagation of the correlation function of the normal component of the fluctuating geomagnetic field through the earth's mantle is investigated. In the crude approximation that is used the relatively poorly conducting mantle is replaced by a vacuum layer. It is shown that this crude approximation reproduces sufficiently fully the correlation function on the earth's surface. The results obtained agree satisfactorily with the observed characteristics of 60-year variations.
