Аннотация:Surface colour is determinated not only by its reflectance but olso by apparent spatial position and perceived illumination. Particulaly apparent reversal of depth relationship in a visual scene provokes a change in perceived illumination of a surface that in turn induces changes in surface colour. The bisection method has been used to measure their changes in terms of the gray scale for achromatic colour and the dark scale for perceived illumination. The results showed that perceived illumination and colur were inversely proportional to each other once the retinal luminance remained constant.
