Аннотация:Over the past 20 years, Knauf CIS, a subsidiary of an international family‐owned German manufacturer of gypsum‐based and other construction materials, has dominated its market through a creative combination of Western management techniques and workplace practices rooted in the rapid development of Soviet industry from 1955 to 1978. Despite the uncertainties of operating in transitional economies, the company has improved both quality and performance through cautious development of human resources, aggressive modernization of facilities, creative marketing, multilevel outreach to a broad base of stakeholders, and unwavering commitment to training not only production staff but also the end users of its products.
