Аннотация:The hard chromium–carbon coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering of the targets based onchromium and a nanodiamond powder in media of various compositions are comprehensively studied. Thestructure of the deposited coatings has composite nature: they consist of a mixture of metallic chromium, interstitial phases based on it, and individual isolated free-carbon microinclusions with a graphite-like structure. The study of the mechanical and tribological properties of the coatings demonstrates reliable operation of the tribounits at high specific contact loads in the case of the coatings deposited by sputtering of sintered targets.
