Аннотация:The temperature conditions of sintering of corundum ceramics aff ect the rate of subsequent metallizationand the catalytic activity of metallized high-porosity cellular material. The process of chemical silvering ofthe material under study from a solution containing (g L–1): 2 silver nitrate, 54 glucose, and 1,5-oxyethylidenediphosphonic acid, as complexing ligand, was developed. The infl uence of the velocity of electrolyte fl ow on theuniformity of metal distribution within the high-porosity cellular material was determined. A technology wasdeveloped for the surface pretreatment of corundum ceramics before metallization, including degreasing with whitespirit, etching in a mixture of hydrofl uoric and sulfuric acids, and palladium activation, which makes it possible toobtain continuous, fi ne-crystalline coatings with good adhesion and high catalytic activity.
