Аннотация:The structure and the nature of the underlying photochemical transformations were established for radical cations (RCs) formed upon the irradiation of exo-2,3-norbornene oxide solutions in the matrix of CF3CCl3 at 77 K via electronic paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and UV-visible absorption (UV/Vis) spectroscopy as well as quantum chemical calculations. A mechanism was suggested to explain the photochemical reactions taking place in this system: it involves the transformation of the initially formed ring-open RC into a ring-closed C-centered RC with subsequent photoelimination of H2
