Аннотация:In this paper, new regimes of flow and heat transfer in the 100 kW IPG-4 plasmatron were investigated. The flow was generated by installing a slit nozzle behind the 80 mm diameter discharge channel. Using slug calorimeters, the heat fluxdistribution along the axis of symmetry of a 100x100x10 mm copper plate flown around by an air plasma jet at the angles of attackof 0° and 30° was obtained. A water-cooled 100x100x10 mm copper plate with a grid of injection holes was made. The plate’sholes were used to inject acetylene or propane in the boundary layer, enabling visualization of streamlines on the plate surface. The surface temperature of a flat specimen made from "Buran" orbital vehicle heat shield tile with white low-catalytic coating wasmeasured for the longitudinal flow around the surface using the spectral pyrometry method
