Аннотация:The results of experiments on the excitation of standing surface gravity waves in a cylindrical vessel with a wedge-shaped base are presented. The fundamental difference from the liquid wave motions in a rectangular vessel is the absence of spatial symmetry for the profile of maximum development and an increase in the wave amplitude towards the wedge tip. To describe waves in a wedge-shaped vessel, a numerical-analytical model of long waves in a vessel of variable width and a linear model of standing waves in a vessel with a base in the form of a circular sector with a small central angle are used.
