Аннотация:: The Croatian State Archives (Zagreb, Croatia) contain the fund of an activeparticipant in the Civil War in Russia, the commander of the army of the NorthernRegion, Lieutenant General V.V. Marushevsky (1874-1951). The fund was formed fromhis diaries, memoirs, essays, as well as photographic documents. Marushevskyemigrated to Yugoslavia in 1921, settled with his family in Zagreb, where he liveduntil the end of his life. The manuscript heritage of V.V. Marushevsky providesresearchers with new materials on the history of the First World War, the activities ofRussian troops in France in 1916-1917. The author shares his memories of the OctoberRevolution and the Civil War in Russia. The general’s extensive autobiographicalsketch is also of great interest. The documents were preserved and transferred tothe archives by the general’s daughter-in-law, the wife of his son, Olga MarushevskiTanhofer, a well-known researcher of Croatian art and culture. The general’s sonMikhail Marushevsky became a talented Croatian writer.
