Аннотация:Present paper presents the theoretical study of aeroseparation effect. Simulation is performed using the event-driven molecular dynamics (EDMD) method. Considered problem is a noble gas mixture outflow into vacuum through convergent–divergent micronozzle. In present paper two practical aspects were studied: (1) enhancement of binary mixture separation by adding third light carrier component; (2) influence of position, orientation and shape of flow separator (skimmer) located in the outlet (vacuumed) reservoir on separation efficiency. It was shown that, despite separation results of actual skimmers differ from predictions of virtual ones located in the same place, those predictions can still be used to evaluate the performance of real skimmers. It is also shown that position, orientation and shape of skimmer can influence separation performance but can be chosen in a way to minimize the deviation from predictions made using virtual skimmers.
