Аннотация:A method of form factors matrix transforming, which allows accelerating calculation of secondary illumination by the radiosity method is proposed. An adaptation of this method for graphic processors (graphics processing unit, GPU) is considered. In particular, it is proposed to use DXT textures to store form factors matrix and to reorder columns and lines of the matrix to reduce compression losses. The proposed optimisations increase the speed of radiosity algorithm work to ten times and reduce the GPU occupied memory volume to three times.
