Аннотация:Mathematical modeling is used to study the processes of cooling a monoblock adsorption structure based on central circular flow channels and a structure formed by monoblocks in the form of hexagonal prisms with slotted flow channels along the perimeter of the adsorbent by a circulating methane flow. When charging up to 160 v/v (the final average adsorbent temperature of about 269 K), the use of a monoblock structure with slotted channels was found to reduce the charging duration by 53–63%, compared to a monoblock structure with circular channels. According to the simulation results, the minimum low-temperature charging duration equals 216 sec, which corresponds to a rapid charging service meeting the needs of car owners.
