Аннотация:The propagation of intense, plane, acoustic waves through a randomly inhomogeneous layer of infinitesimal thickness (phase screen) is examined. In the approximation of nonlinear geometrical acoustics, analytical solutions are obtained for the spatial structure of the field and for the evolution of an arbitrary temporal wave profile behind the one-dimensional screen. The mean value, distribution functions, and probabilities of fluctuation outbursts of shock front amplitudes at different distances from the screen are calculated for the initial plane sawtooth wave. It is shown that the initial spatial transverse modulation of the phase wavefront causes (on average) a more rapid nonlinear attenuation of energy and significantly affects the evolution of the spatial and amplitude probability distributions of the acoustic field behind the screen.
