Аннотация:An area of 30 000 km2 was studied by means of aerial survey, and cartographic methods. An upper stage of mountain relief (3-4.5km absolute height) of preglacial origin with a network of troughs intact and a lower stage of glacially eroded relief were delineated. Studying the latter (0-2.5km altitude) led to the conclusion that it was created by floating ice shelves and exit glaciers. The 2.5km rise in the coast during the glacial period is due to tectonic forces.
