Аннотация:New data on the thickness of the continental ice cover are used to derive a scheme showing where bottom melting occurs in the Transantarctic Mountains. This in turn allows better description of the exaration activity of the glaciers. Geomorphological processes at the bottom of subglacial lakes parallel those on the sea floor under shelf ice.
